Fortabyte Cyber Solutions. (FCS) is a premier, full-service IT services company specializing in providing high-quality, cost-effective networking support and technology to K12 schools in the Mid-Atlantic states.
FCS was founded in 1996 by an engineer and a computer science professor. FCS is a certified partner with most major technology manufacturers, including Cisco, and is a Gold Certified Academic Partner of Microsoft. All of our engineers are experts, IT certified and experienced in working with schools.

FCS provides products and services to over 50 independent and charter schools and a number of public school districts within Maryland, including Baltimore City, Washington DC and Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia.

Unlike many technology companies, FCS provides and supports a full range of technologies to schools including interactive boards and projectors, video distribution, tablets and computers, phone systems, surveillance systems, servers and of course networking technologies. We understand the impact classroom technology has on the network infrastructure and how to tune the network to make classroom technology reliable and effective.

Some of FCS’ technology partners, for education, include Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, Cisco, Meraki,
Aerohive, Aruba, Sonicwall, Symantec, Trend Micro, AVG, VMware and Barracuda. All FCS engineers hold
IT certifications. We have on staff Microsoft MCITPs, Cisco CCNP, CCDA and CCNAs and the respective
certifications from each of our other main vendors. So, when we install a new technology, we do it right. We
represent and work with many manufacturers and we work well with other service providers. FCS’ objective
is to provide our client the best solution for each environment (school, corporate, and business settings).

Arshad Khwaja attended The City College of New York in 1985 and graduated in 1990 with a degree of BE Electrical Engineering. After graduating college, he worked as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Director of Technical Support and Systems Engineer in various companies during the early days of his career.
